COMMON QUESTIONS
Using the AIGMS™ Knowledge Hub
Who is the Knowledge Hub for?
It is designed primarily for owners, directors and managers in UK organisations that use AI but do not have specialist AI governance expertise. Larger organisations may also use it as a practical introduction or implementation layer.
Where should a complete beginner start?
Begin with the AIGMS™ structure overview then review the six Governing Principles. Use the free Starter Guide or Quick Win AI Safeguards tool when you are ready to take an initial practical step.
Do I need to buy a package to use the hub?
No. The public guidance and free tools are available without a package purchase. The Foundation, Operating and Assurance Packs provide the editable implementation materials needed to operate the relevant AIGMS™ capability internally.
Is AIGMS™ a standard or certification scheme?
No. AIGMS™ is an independently created governance management system. The separate Verification Programme assesses defined evidence against AIGMS™ requirements and does not turn AIGMS™ into a standard.
Does following this guidance guarantee compliance?
No. AIGMS™ supports structured governance and evidence. Each organisation remains responsible for understanding the legal, regulatory, contractual and professional duties that apply to its own activities.
How do I choose between the three packages?
Choose by the capability your organisation needs now. Foundation establishes visibility and structure, Operating adds Consequence Profiling and Safeguards and Assurance completes the review, evidence and improvement cycle.
