As at 11 September 2026 it is in controlled pilot development: a free initial application can be made but later stages, status decisions, Status IDs and mark use remain closed. Is AIGMS™ an AI system?
No. AIGMS™ is a governance management system for organisations that use AI. It helps you identify AI Activities, assign responsibility, apply proportionate Safeguards and keep evidence.
Do we need a technical AI specialist?
No. AIGMS™ is written for competent managers. The Governance Lead brings in specialist input when a particular AI Activity needs it.
Does AIGMS™ replace data protection or health and safety arrangements?
No. Integration is one of the Governing Principles. AIGMS™ helps connect AI governance with the systems your organisation already uses.
How much governance does each AI Activity need?
The effort depends on the Consequence Rating. Negligible Activities need Core Safeguards while higher-rated Activities need additional Safeguards and more frequent review.
